Plus Size Maternity Clothing- Work Clothes Tips
It is smart to buy clothes that coordinate well with the season. Finding clothes that you can layer is an excellent way to save a few dollars and this also takes into account the changing temperature of the seasons as well as the fluctuation in body temperature.
Mixing and matching your work clothes is key. The plus size fashionista wants to look as good while she is pregnant as she did before, and why shouldn’t she? Buy a few pairs of pants in neutral colors such as black, navy, gray, brown and tan. Buy a nice skirt such as an A-line skirt in a neutral shade, a jacket to go with a number of different outfits, a dress and an assortment of tops. Make sure your bottoms are all made from stretch soft fabrics that can breathe as easily as possible. Show some creativity with the shirts and tops you buy. Buy something with a splash of color for the warmer months, just make sure you can match it up with as many separates as possible.
During the winter months, a sweater set, which includes a long sleeved cardigan sweater and usually a V-neck or crew neck sweater underneath in one color is very becoming to wear to the office. Pair with some stylish black plants and add accessories to jazz up the outfit and give it some pizzazz.
Never forget the importance of accessories in helping to make a nice outfit look like an amazing outfit. Accessories such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, hair clips, scarves, belts and the right purse can add the polish to an outfit for the plus size mother-to-be like nothing else can.
Shoes also make a difference. Pregnancy can cause the feet to ache terribly so bear this in mind as you shop for shoes for work, even in the early stages of your pregnancy. A comfortable but timeless sling-back pump in a color such as black is an excellent choice for the office and looks great with pants, dresses and skirts. There are also plenty of ballerina flats that are sophisticated enough to work for the office. As you get bigger you might find that your feet need more breathing room so you should buy shoes in a wider width than usual.
Always buy work plus size clothes that are made of soft material that can breath. Make sure you avoid clothes with complicated fasteners or any irritating zippers, buttons or inseams. Aim for fashionable clothes that do not look too girlish or childish.
