Plus Size Fashion Sites- Fattie Gossip

If you are looking fashion advice but also resources and discussions that pertain to plus size women then you will find it at http://fattiegossip.wordpress.com. This website is more or less a blog that helps to bring BBW together and provide information about everything from clothing and shopping to personal experience to profiles of celebrities who are plus sized to personal experiences of women everywhere.

The word “fattie” is not used as a derogatory term at this blog but is aimed more at helping women who are overweight accept who they are and the size that they are at. Fattie Gossip attempts to dispel the idea that the word fat is a dirty word and that it those who fall under the category are somehow less worthy than other people.

The site in no way encourages people to become overweight, nor does it believe that living an unhealthy lifestyle is the proper way to live. Fattie Gossip is for women who are curvy, big and beautiful and that is just the way they are. Fattie Gossip knows that there are plenty other words that can be used to describe women with extra pounds on them such as voluptuous, chubby, plump, however it is the word “fat” that receives so much negativity in the media and that is why the blog is called Fattie Gossip and not Voluptuous Gossip or Chubby Gossip.

The inspiring story of Nancy Hayssen can be read at Fattie Gossip. Hayssen is a beautiful, blonde plus-size model who has spoken out publicly on anorexia nervosa and now heads a campaign that embraces the acceptance and beauty of women who are curvy, sexy and plus sized!

For those in the mood for a sexy and suggestive vision of a BBW, check out the You Tube music video  “She’s So Skinny” that can be found on the first page of the blog and can be watched directly from there. Housework, lingerie, beautiful curves and sensuality come together to make this video too hot to handle for the faint at heart! The song is about a skinny woman who attempts to seduce a man but gets rejected because, you guessed it- she is too skinny! This is a video that celebrates curves, sexuality and women of size!

Plus Size Bra-The Style Enhancing Attributes of a Push Up Bra

Regardless of whether you like the size you are or not, it is the size you are so you need to make peace with it. Accept yourself for who you are and embrace your size. Curves are sexy and how you feel on the inside affects the image you exude. If you don’t feel good about yourself, this will show to others. Instead of focusing on the negative parts of your body, focus on the positive parts. For example, if you have beautiful breasts then play them up with a plus size push up bra. Push up bras can make a dress, blouse or sexy summer top come alive! They look particularly appealing with dresses or tops that reveal the collar bones.

As the name implies, a plus up bra “pushes up” the breasts and makes them appear to be higher on the body. For those women whose breasts have already begun to sag a little due to the aging process, push up bras are an absolute necessity. A higher bust adds more length to the torso and makes the waist appear slimmer.

Push up bras that are made of satin and lace are the best. You do not have to settle for a boring style. Instead find one that is suitable for the outfit you are going to wear it under and the occasion. Sometimes called “balcony” bras, the push up bra is the perfect starting point for every plus size fashionista who is proud of how she looks. Wear your push up plus size bra under your favorite black dress and don’t be surprised at all the heads that turn in your direction as you walk into the dance or party.

A standard push up bra is worthwhile for every plus size woman. If you like the added sensuous nature of a bra that reveals a little more skin, then try a demi-cup push up or a demi-cup  that is trimmed in lace. This says feminine and provocative as nothing else can!

Be aware that most push up bras are made with wider set straps for that added amount of support. The most important feature of a push up bra is that it needs to fit extremely well. The expression, “it fits like a glove” applies here. If the bra does not feel as though it was made expressly for your body and your proportions then keep on looking.

A full figured bra, no matter what the style, needs to fit your body properly. The size you wore at 20 might not be the same as you wear at 30, or 40 and so on. It is wise to get a bra fitting at a specialty bra store or at the plus size lingerie department at a department store to make sure you are buying the proper size. A great many women do not wear the size that is most suitable for them. Once you know your size, then online shopping will be much easier as the worry over returning items will be lessened greatly.
